New wet snow product and updated CryoLand4Newbies

07 April 2016: A new wet snow cover product is now available for the Alpine area. The product development started within CryoLand, and was completed within the EU FP7 project SEN3APP. Demonstration products of the melting season 2015 over the Alps, as well as new products for the melting season 2016 will be provided through the CryoLand GeoPortal.

The Snow Products website, as well as the CryoLand4Newbies document were updated with this new product Wet Snow Cover over Alps (multitemp_SCAW_Alps_Radar).

New scripts for automated access of CryoLand products available

08 April 2015: For automatically accessing, downloading and analysing CryoLand products we provide for your convenience new scripts written in Python and IDL in the Downloads menu (link). Feel free to use or adapt these scripts according to your needs.

Demonstration Phase

1 Dec 2013 - 30 June 2014

The official Demonstration Phase for the CryoLand products and services is planned to start on 1 December 2013. Reprocessed data sets of previous winter seasons, and the near-real-time services for the winter season 2013/14 are provided via the CryoLand GeoPortal.

 

CryoLand at ESA Living Planet Symposium, Edinburgh, Sept 2013

User Trainings 2013

April - July 2013: The CryoLand Team organized five User Trainings on how to use the CryoLand system and products.

Updated CryoLand 4 Newbies Online

July 2013: A new release of the "CryoLand 4 Newbies - an introduction how to use the CryoLand System" is now available. The tutorial can be downloaded here, or via the "Download Now!" button on the start page of http://cryoland.eu.

 

User Interim Validation Workshop

The User Interim Validation Workshop was held on 05 June 2013 at the European Environmental Agency (EEA) Headquarters, Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

Torne River Ice Breakup on 6 May 2013

The ice break up happened on Torne River on 6 May 2013. The CryoLand team observed this event by means of a TerraSAR-X scene.
