The Fractional Snow Cover over the Pan-European area is a homogenized product for large areas, developed as a joint product of the CryoLand team.
The product is based on medium resolution optical satellite data and extends from Scandinavia in the North to northern Africa in the South, and from Portugal in the west to the Caspian Sea in the East. The product is provided daily with 500 m spatial resolution.
For the winter season 2012/13 the product is available with a spatial resolution of 1 km. These products and reprocessed products of previous years will be updated step-by-step with the increased coverage and improved spatial resolution.
