Develop, implement and validate an operational sustainable service for monitoring snow and land ice as a Downstream Service within Copernicus in a value added chain with the Land Monitoring Core Service:
Define a framework and specifications for the snow and land ice monitoring system that is based on requirements of users from different application fields
Designing, developing and implementing Internet based interfaces to integrate the geospatial infrastructure developed in the project, in order to allow for efficient user interaction and access to the products
Augment and improve the portfolio of snow and land ice products and services tailored to specific customer needs
Develop and implement tools for integration of snow and land ice products from satellite data with non-space-based data (in-situ measurements, model output) in order to improve the quality of the CryoLand services
Support and train users for accessing and using the CryoLand Geoportal and Products
Perform thorough testing, validation and qualification of the snow and land ice monitoring system in pre-operational environment
Develop tools for utilization of Sentinel satellite data for snow and ice monitoring services
Prepare and initiate a self-supportive operational snow and land ice monitoring system
